This site was born out of a desire to share my experiences gained in over 30 years of hiking in California and (on occasion) its neighboring states to the north. And what I’ve chosen to focus on is my subjective impressions of trails, to inspire you regarding where to go and what to focus on once you’re there. Or if you’re like me and just enjoy reading about and seeing pictures of hikes, then that’s cool too.
What you won’t find here are detailed descriptions of trails including driving and on-trail directions, GPS coordinates, etc. There are other sources for that, whether you use apps like AllTrails or old school guidebooks and maps (my personal preference). I’d like this site to be a place to while away the time between hikes, as you browse through places you’ve been to see my take on it, or are figuring out where to go in the future.
